In India, too, Martin was fighting at the front of the field, winning the sprint race with ease before holding on to second in the main race against Fabio Quartararo despite battling severe dehydration.
The strong form continued on Saturday, though. Mir headed Marquez on the grid in fifth, while the latter scored his first podium since the Portugal sprint back in March in the half-distance race.
