HMRC has published a list of the 12 Lancashire companies who have deliberately evaded paying tax
With the cost of living crisis continuing to bite many self-employed people will find themselves forced to tighten the purse strings. And as energy bills rise with customer spend going down it's inevitable that some will be struggling to make ends meet.
Between 2016 and 2021 Adlington Spice, in Market Street, failed to pay £58,874.90 in tax/duty. Penalties totalling £28,701.51 have been imposed. Between 2017 and 2021 JMB Investments Limited, of Wood Street in Lytham, failed to pay £133,471 in tax/duty. Penalties of £88,290.98 have been imposed. Between 2019 and 2021 Ion Lucian Dumitru, a construction worker of Frenchwood Street in Preston and previously of Nottingham and Birmingham failed to pay £75,729 in tax/duty. Penalties of £49,034.52 have been imposed.
