A 12-year-old child died Tuesday after being found unresponsive on a school bus in Gloucester Township, officials said Friday.
The child was found on the bus Jan. 24 and school staff along with first responders tried to revive the juvenile, according to Andrew Kramer, a spokesman for theThe child was taken to Jefferson Hospital in Washington Township before being transferred to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where the child died, the prosecutor’s office spokesman said.
“The matter remains under investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office and the Gloucester Township Police Department,” Kramer wrote in an email. “No further information is being released at this time.”Gloucester Township school officials did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment Friday night.
