A 13-year-old boy is hospitalized in a serious condition after falling off an electric scooter in Donegal this evening. Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency services responded to reports of the incident on a local road in Buncrana around 4:45 pm. Upon arrival, they found the boy unresponsive and immediately transported him to Letterkenny University Hospital by ambulance. The road at Linsfort where the incident occurred has been closed to facilitate a forensic examination of the scene.
Local diversions are in place as investigators work to determine the cause of the fall. Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward, particularly those who possess dash-cam or other road user footage from the area at the time.
