Around 14,500 Ukrainian children are now enrolled in Irish schools, the Oireachtas Education Committee has heard
The figures were provided by officials in the Department of Education, who were appearing before the Oireachtas Education Committee.
Responding to questions from Fine Gael Senator Aisling Dolan, he said that the intake of new students was done in a"very inclusive and integrated way that supports the children and supports their wellbeing given all they've been through".
