Festival season is here in Houston. Here are 15 food, film and music festivals around the Bayou City and its suburbs that are worth attending.
MECA East End is planning its two-day Frida Festival this weekend, which will celebrate the artist Frida Kahlo's legacy with live music, performances, a fashion show and food. It will be held at Talento Bilingue De Houston, 333 S. Jensen Drive, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. from April 8-10. The fashion show will kick off on April 8 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission.
The Houston International Dance Coalition is hosting the 25th installment of Dance Salad after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic. Artistic Director Nancy Henderek selected a collection of internationally renowned dancers, choreographers, musicians, and dance companies for a three-night festival at the Wortham Center from April 14-16. Tickets range from $27-$62.The Houston Margarita Festival is returning to Water Works Park, 105 Sabine Street, next month.
