2 San Antonio tomato contests happening soon at Milberger’s and Fanick’s. Enter for a chance at tomato glory
Ruby Crush, BHN968 and other cherry tomatoes will be ripening in a week or so. The larger varieties such as Tycoon will ripen in early June — the perfect time for you to participate in the Top Tomato contests scheduled June 4 at Milberger’s Landscaping and Nursery and June 11 at Fanick’s Garden Center.How are your tomatoes doing? If you planted them on or about April 1 as recommended, they should be showing green fruit now.
The period of high temperatures and lack of rain has made plants vulnerable to moisture stress.
