Taoiseach Simon Harris vowed to raise the issue of the 200 children with child protection agency Tusla and CAMHS

The shocking allegation was made by the Aontu leader Peadar Toibin in the Dail earlier this week before details of the horrific Kyran Durnin case emerged.

He said a further 11 were murders, adding: “It is incredible that more than 5 per cent in State care or known to State Care services have been murdered.”Deputy Tobin also claimed some of the cases were referred to CAHMS – the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service – by Tusla and they refused to take them.Simon Harris vowed to raise the issue of the 200 children who died in State care with child protection agency Tusla and CAMHS.
