There are many things that motorists carry around with them - a first aid kit, spare tyre... and savvy drivers also make sure they have a 20p piece too. Sound like an odd addition to your car maintenance arsenal, well it could just save you a whopping fine and penalty points on your licence.

The 20p test should be done regularly and before long journeys to ensure all tyres are legal and to avoid hefty fines, dangerous driving charges and penalty points.
