It has certainly been the weather for a cold drink in a beach bar
Young - and not so young - have been enjoying the sunshine at this year's, back for the first time since 2019. The free family attraction has taken over Old Market Square for the summer and will remain there for a few more weeks until September 4.
Hundreds of people have visited since it opened at the end of July. Sweltering temperatures mean the paddling pool has proved a magnet for children, while the beach bar has been a popular draw for adults, who have been chilling out with a refreshing drink.
