Federal prosecutors have indicted 10 people for allegedly stealing $2.7 million in unemployment funds with the help of California EDD contract worker.
The defendants are: Madison Clark, 24, and Khi Simms, 27, of Alexander, Arkansas; Brelyn London, 27; Karl Harris, 26; and Deuntae Diggs, 26; Keshoun Coleman, 23; Derrick Harris, 19; Terence Holman, 27; Brandon Shavers, 29; and Quentin Watson, 27; all of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Clark was technically employed by a company called TTEC, the indictment explains, and her duties included answering consumer questions involving unemployment debit cards as well as claims processing for unemployment debit cards. They are also charged with wire fraud, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment, a fine of up to $250,000.
