The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said a safety feature can malfunction if the laminator overheats.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, 516,500 of the laminators have been recalled. They were sold at Walmart, Staples, Costco and other stores nationwide and online from April 2014 through October 2022 for between $35 and $90.
“3M has received nine reports of the laminators catching on fire, including three reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.” The recalled laminators are light gray and white with gray accents. Model numbers are - TL1302, TL1302VP, TL1302EF and TL1302KIT. “Scotch” is printed on the front. The model and serial numbers are on a sticker on the bottom.
