WASHINGTON — Three people have died and another was critically injured after an apparent lightning strike happened near the White House in Washington, D.C. Thursday, authorities said.A third victim who was killed by lightning near the White House has been identified by his family and employer., City National Bank announced that Brooks Lambertson, of Los Angeles, died after being struck by lightning near Lafayette Square.
“Brooks was an incredible young man who will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and unwavering positivity,” City National Bank said in its. “His sudden loss is devastating for all who knew him, and his family, friends and colleagues appreciate the thoughts and prayers that have poured in from around the country.”
Lambertson was a vice president at City National Bank, managing sponsorships for the company. He was in the nation’s capital on business, according toHe previously worked for the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers as the manager of partnership marketing. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in recreation, parks and tourism administration with a concentration in sports management.
