Four men were approached by an unknown individual who took out a handgun and fired shots in front of a residence, according to a police notification.
Officers talk with a person in the 8600 block of South Kingston Avenue in South Chicago where four people were shot, two fatally, on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, during the Labor Day holiday weekend.
At approximately 6:47 p.m. in the 8600 block of South Kingston Avenue, four men were approached by an unknown individual who took out a handgun and fired shots in front of a residence, according to a police notification.“Further investigation revealed there were at least two shooters who fired rounds at the house of this location striking those victims,” Deputy Chief Larry Snelling said in a news conference.
A 20-year-old man was struck in the buttocks and stomach and was taken to Advocate Christ Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
