The adopted Galwayman has been an ever-present since the race's inception.
Peadar Nugent is one of only 11 people to have run in every edition of the Dublin City Marathon since the event's inception in 1980.Born in Clare but well and truly considered an adopted Galway-man, Peadar will compete in his 42nd official Dublin City Marathon when he crosses the line on Sunday morning.
Having worked in Dublin for 35 years as a registrar in the high-court, Peadar is no stranger to the Big Smoke. He retired in 2004 and moved to Galway where he has lived ever since.
