9-1-1 showrunner teases what to expect next in Eddie's emotional storyline
In the same chat, Reidel discussed the dynamic between Eddie and his friend Buck, who has helped Eddie seek help and face some of his past.
"It's interesting, because Buck is often the person that's going to others for help," she said."But Buck is somebody who did embrace the need for therapy, the need to talk about your problems and face them. "And so, I think Buck is in a much healthier place when it comes to the job that they do, the losses that they've experienced, because he has faced it.
"So he can be in a place with Eddie of saying, 'It's not all bad. We go through terrible things, but there is an upside and there is a benefit to what we do. Not just for the world, but for ourselves'."
