It's been 27 since her smash hit single was released, but 90s pop star Meredith Brooks looks like she hasn't aged a day. The singer rose to international fame in the 1990s thanks to her hit solo album, Blurring the Edges, released in 1997.
The US star, 66, wrote the punchy track in response to her frustrations at not breaking through into the music industry. The song proved to be a launchpad for her music career, but she failed to land another hit singe afterwards. Her track Shine was used as the theme music for US TV show Dr. Phil from 2004 until 2008, and in 2007 she released a children's album titled If I Could Be. The singer is also listed as a co-writer on Bebe Rexha's track I'm a Mess as it borrows some of the melody from B***h.
Meredith tends to keep her private life out of the spotlight and it is not known if she is currently married. She was previously married to Russell Jackson. The couple married in 1991 before divorcing in 1998.
