She also chatted about her gorgeous cat Pishkin
So how did you end up with your dog and your cat? My cat Pishkin came first, in 2010. We didn’t get him, he got us. He was actually a stray that wandered into our back garden and 12 years later, he hasn’t left.
Izzy was originally my nana’s dog, and my little cousin was living with her at the time and they thought that she was allergic to the dog. Then she moved over to our house, because she always used to come over for my nana’s holidays and things like that so it was the natural fit. But Pishkin was not impressed whatsoever. They pretended to get on when we were around, but if they were left to their own devices there would be war.
With a cat and a dog, you must be an animal lover - has that always been the case? 100%, from the word go. I grew up with loads of dogs, so I was originally very much a dog person. I probably would still say that I am, but because Pishkin came first between him and Izzy, cats have definitely grown on me more now. He is my little baby and I worship everything about him.
You lost Izzy around two years ago sadly. Would you consider getting another dog or have you put Pishkin through enough? It’s something that we’ve definitely thought about since Izzy passed away. For the time being, I think we’re nearly still trying to process that, because it was 100% the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with and I know my family in the house will say the same as well. I’m sure all pet owners know, it’s as if it was the loss of a person.
