Dylan Robert's priorities changed after the incident aged 11
A man suffered a horrific injury but it ended up being the best thing for him. Dylan Robert, 24, originally from Halewood , but now living in Aigburth , shared the same two passions as his friend Ben Harper growing up. Speaking to the ECHO, Dylan said: “We both started playing guitar when we were I think we'd just turned 10. My mum got me an electric guitar and he came round to see it. It was like this alien thing, we were just in awe of it.
“I was trying to get into the industry for a while but I didn't really know how or I didn't have anyone to guide me in it and I always felt a bit deflated from that. It kind of put me off writing a little bit as well. I was trying to get in without knowing how to get in.” Thankfully, things have begun to change. Dylan started using a loop pedal for his gigs in town, which records your guitar as you play and plays it back to you over in a loop, which he believed helped.
