It is understood he was taking part in the North West Dive Rally organised by the Donegal Bay Sub Aqua club.Mr Doran, from Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim, is survived by his wife Siobhán and three children, Emmet, Caoimhe and Eibhlín, along with extended family and friends. “Pat’s memory will forever be treasured, he was loved beyond words, he will be missed beyond measure,” his obituary readsSt Mary’s GAA in Leitrim said in a statement online that Mr Doran was “a true Gael, loyal friend, and loving family man”.“There was nothing Paddy would not do to ensure we all got the club he felt we deserved.“We know our huge loss is shared with other clubs, especially Leitrim Gaels, with whom Paddy shared a wide circle of friends.
The club extended its sympathies to Mr Doran’s family, including his mother Bridie, brothers and sisters.
