The distressed grey staffie type dog had been left outside overnight in freezing conditions when it was found
on Liddesdale Road in the Milton area, on March 6.The pooch is now in the care of the Scottish SPCA. The council launched an online appeal to dog owners who are struggling with their pets and urged animals to be taken to a shelter.
A Glasgow City Council spokeswoman said: “Our dog warden responded to a report of an abandoned dog at that location this morning. The poor animal was distressed when they arrived and our officer took it straight to the SSPCA at Cardonald where it will be looked after and receive a vet check. If the animal has a microchip, the owner will be traced. If not, the animal will potentially be put up for rehoming.
