Prescot Police Station has been empty for nearly 15 years
Plans to convert an abandoned former police station dating back to the late 1800s into affordable homes have been approved. Prescot Police Station on Derby Street was built in the 1800s and is thought to have been closed since 2011.
Outbuildings that were previously stables and used for storage have been retained and will be redeveloped into two bungalows. In the courtyard, four energy efficient three-bedroom homes will be built all while staying true to the historical roots by using brick facades and materials, including slate roofs and stone lintels.
