The two-point scoring system was introduced to Gaelic football this year, and there was huge controversy at the end of a county senior league final as two wrong calls decided the game
There was a massive controversy at the conclusion of a county senior league final on Sunday, as a couple of late misjudged two-pointers determined the result. Fermanagh powerhouses Derrygonnelly Harps were up against 2024 county champions Erne Gaels in the division one league final at Brewster Park.
In the final stages, as both teams fought desperately for a win, Derrygonnelly found themselves on the attack once more. With only two minutes of normal time left in the county final, towering midfielder Stephen McGullion gained possession in the left corner of the attack.
