John Parvin left his victim in a 'constant state of fear'

An 'abusive' stalker threatened to 'chop up' his ex-girlfriend's son and cut her cat's head off, a court heard.

READ MORE:Engineering student caught carrying suitcase with £250k in cash at Piccadilly station was part of 'Chinese underground banking scheme' Parvin 'made repeated threats' over the following month - saying he would stab the victim's new partner and throw a brick at him, 'punch her all over the place', set fire to her dad's car and 'chop pet cat's head off and leave it on her doorstep'. Despite having previously supported her during times when she had been feeling suicidal, he 'encouraged her to hurt herself'.

But on November 20 2021, Parvin messaged her on Instagram threatening to 'chop her son up and bring him back in bits' and burn her house down on Christmas Eve. He said he would 'happily go to prison for it', adding: "Drop the charges you grass." Parvin has 15 previous convictions for 33 offences, including for abusing two former partners and being jailed for five years in 2016 for conspiracy to supply class A drugs. Julian Nutter, defending, said: "It's perhaps unfortunate that social media is there for those who have difficulties with anger to express themselves.

Parvin, of Bitterling Street, admitted stalking and witness intimidation during an earlier hearing and was jailed for 35 months. He held out a hand to the victim in the public gallery and said "I'm sorry" before he was led down to the cells.
