A school has retained its 'Good' rating from Ofsted
A school with over 400 pupils in Nottingham has retained its 'Good' rating from Ofsted. The inspectors have praised Djanogly Northgate Academy for being "vibrant" and "diverse", as well as being "an important part of the community."
Ofsted conducted its inspections on June 20 and June 21, 2023 and overall found the school to be 'Good.' The report stated: "Leaders have a very clear ambition for what pupils will learn. "The curriculum is broad and interesting. It is well sequenced. Leaders have ensured that the most important knowledge is clear."The school is also praised for having "good support" available for SEND pupils, and ensuring all pupils have the same learning opportunities. Viv Watson, Interim Headteacher, Djanogly Northgate Academy, said: “We are a school where everyone is valued.
“We are delighted that ethos and commitment to our pupils, staff and the local community has been strongly recognised, and that we have retained our Ofsted good grading.” Mark Mallender, Chief Executive Officer, Djanogly Learning Trust, added: “It is fantastic to see Djanogly Northgate Academy providing a good education for pupils that supports them to value learning and have high aspirations.
