The Acer Nitro 5 is one of the most popular gaming laptops out there, and now gets refreshed with the newest processors from Intel, along with up to an RTX 3070 Ti.
The Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptop is perhaps one of the best known options for gamers on a budget, typically offering a good value for the specs offered. For this year, Acer has refreshed the Nitro 5 with the latest 12th Generation Intel Core processorsThere will be five different configurations of the Nitro 5 on offer, giving options for almost any budget.
Under the hood, there’s a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12500H on the base model, with the other configurations getting the Core i7-12700H, with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage. There’s also an option to add an additional 2.5-inch SATA drive if you want even more storage. As for graphics you’ll get up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti to choose from, and a MUX switch is present on the Nitro 5 too. Cooling it all meanwhile is a dual fan cooling system with four exhaust ports.
Acer has not disclosed the battery size, but we do know that depending on the model you get, the power supply will be rated between 180W to 280W. For I/O you’re getting a HDMI port, three USB-A 3.2 ports, a USB-C port and an Ethernet port along with a 3.5mm audio jack. You’ll also find WIFI 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity on the Nitro 5. Elsewhere, there’s a 4-zone RGB keyboard and dual 2W speakers too. The Nitro 5 weighs about 2.5kg and measures 271.1mm thick.
