Videogame publisher Activision Blizzard Inc said on Tuesday it had fired more than 20 employees following allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination at the workplace, with 20 more individuals facing other forms of disciplinary action.

The owner of "Call of Duty" and "Candy Crush" franchises added it would expand its ethics and compliance team in order to create a "more accountable workplace and culture". The company will add 19 full-time roles to the team. Activision said a report could be submitted anonymously, and that there was zero tolerance for retaliation of any kind. It added that the company would "terminate or discipline" individuals violating its policies.Earlier in September, Activision Blizzard and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said they had reached an agreement to settle claims over sexual harassment and discrimination in the company's workplace.
