Born and raised in London with him training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts – Paterson has collected renowned accolades and credits for acting in Noughts and Crosses, Grantchester, The Beach, In The Name Of The Father and has recently appeared as Commander Neil Newsome in the BBC series, Vigil.

His role as Chancellor is to act as the ceremonial figure for Oxford Brookes University while also being an ambassador and an advocate of the University – working to raise the profile of the University and advance its international and national interest as an educational institution. that he is excited to take up this new role as Chancellor. “My academic struggles were no barrier to my ambitions to be the best I could be.
