The Aer Lingus flight, which was headed to Orlando, was forced to make a swift return shortly after departing

An Aer Lingus flight headed out of Ireland to the USA was forced to make an emergency return shortly after taking off on Tuesday afternoon.

The craft landed back at the airport safely, with emergency vehicles attached to Dublin Airport rushing to the Aer Lingus plane to ensure all passengers were safe. A spokesperson for Aer Lingus told the Irish Mirror: “Aer Lingus flight EI121 from Dublin to Orlando returned to Dublin Airport shortly after take-off this afternoon due to a technical issue.

The operator of Dublin Airport, daa, confirmed the aircraft had landed safely and that Dublin Airport’s Fire and Rescue Service and Airport Police were quickly dispatched following the landing.
