AFROMAN – who found fame in 2000 with ‘Because I Got High’ – has released a song about an armed police raid on his house featuring video footage captured by CCTV cameras he installed at his Ohio property.
And purports to show Adams County cops stealing his money, as he sings: “Why are you stealing my money? Why are you stealing my money? You represent the law and it’s funny. You’re stealing my legal-work-hard-everyday-pay-taxes-money.” He claims the sheriff’s deputies stole $400 in cash.
Afroman told VICE: “A lot of people don’t get harassed by the police, so they don’t know what they’re doing to people and civilians. “But from what I understand, these sheriff’s officers in this county have been doing people dirty for a very long time and getting away with it. But nobody has the publicity or the eyeball that I can put on ‘em like me.”
