Skinner builds to a striking last 10 minutes where he recalls the older group of women he worked with when he had a factory job as a teenager, and their earthy attitudes to sex. The lover of poetry delivers a tour de force of eloquent language and sordid imagery to recount the tale. It wasn’t what we were expecting, but Skinner proved that he can hold his audience rapt. And yes, he still loves a knob gag.
