PITTSBURGH—President Biden stressed the need to invest in the nation’s infrastructure Friday aftercoincided with the collapse of a 50-year-old bridge in the city, injuring 10 people and disrupting a major roadway.
“We saw today when a bridge is in disrepair it literally can threaten lives,” Mr. Biden said from a former mill that has been turned into a research and development site. “We’re going to rebuild that bridge, along with thousands of other bridges in Pennsylvania and across the country because it’s in our interest.”
