Production is the factory is expected cease at the end of October.

The company said it will move manufacturing of select solid and engineered wood flooring products from its facility in Titusville, Crawford County to its factories in Beverly, West Virginia; Somerset, Kentucky and Only, Tennessee. Production will stop in the Titusville location on October 30. Sixty-four people will be laid off on Oct. 30 while 34 people will be laid off on Nov. 13, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry.

“It was a difficult decision because it impacts people’s lives,” AHF Products president and CEO Brian Carson, said in a news release. “The entire team has performed very well over the years, and we are grateful for their dedication and service. Unfortunately, the more expensive local lumber costs and the lack of equipment to dry lumber onsite does not allow us to scale production.”

AHF Products also has finalized the planned closing of its facility in Oneida, Tennessee. That facility manufactures floor cleaners. The closure was announced in 2019 and is concluding next month. There are currently four employees at that facility. AHF Products is based in West Hempfield Township, and manufactures hardwood, vinyl plank, laminate, and commercial products. After acquiring Armstrong Flooring’s North American assets, the company now operates nine manufacturing facilities – five wood plants and three vinyl facilities in the U.S., and one engineered hardwood plant in Cambodia. The company employs more than 2,000 dedicated people.
