After a 35-minute rain delay pushed back the start of Tuesday’s game, Alabama jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning and scored two more runs in the second to chase Georgia starter Luke Wagner. Alabama’s offense also went quiet after the rain delay, but its five early runs proved to be a sufficient cushion for the win. Alabama had only one extra-base hit — a double to lead off the game by Caden Rose — but took advantage of five walks and five hit batters by Georgia pitchers.
