The couple split in January last year
Alan Carr has admitted he is "terrified" of going home to an empty house after divorcing his husband Paul Drayton last year. The Chatty Man, who grew up in Northampton, discussed the breakdown of his marriage with best friend and Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden on last Friday's episode of the BBC show, The Italian Job.
Amanda Holden asked her friend: "When do you feel like you might be ready to open up your heart again?" as they travelled in a car. Alan told her: "Oh I don't know."I've got to go home at some point. I think I'm just a little bit terrified of going home, going back to an empty house that used to be full of dogs. I had a farm, I had a husband so I'm kind of putting that off.
