Former Ireland star Denis Irwin appeared with Roy Keane on the latest episode of The Overlap.
Denis Irwin has recalled how Alex Ferguson dragged Cristiano Ronaldo back from a holiday so that the young Portuguese star could terrorise the then-veteran full-back.Irwin remembered when he was given an extended close-season after playing for Ireland well into June, with Jack Charlton 's side in World Cup '94 qualification action away to Latvia and Lithuania, but was called back early to “babysit” new signing Roy Keane .
