New Zealand international Alex Greive has left Bohemians after a short stint at the club. The striker joined from St Mirren in July but has now mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Manager Alan Reynolds praised Greive's work ethic and positive impact but said it was the right time for him to seek new opportunities.

The New Zealand international arrived at the Gypsies on a "multi-year contract" from St Mirren in July and scored twice in 15 appearances, but that deal has now been cut short.

Bohs boss Alan Reynolds said: “Alex was one of a number of players we brought to the club midway through what was a difficult season. He gave us important options as we tried to freshen the squad up and improve competition for places.

Reynolds added: “We wish him all the very best for the future and thank him for his contribution over the past number of months.” Bohs have already signed striker Colm Whelan from Derry City and midfielders Niall Morahan and John Mountney from Sligo Rovers and Dundalk respectively.
