All aboard: Irish Rail to hire 100 more train drivers

Iarnród Éireann has announced it is to recruit up to 100 train drivers over the next two years.

The positions will be based at different locations around the country including Cork, Dublin, Mayo, Limerick, Galway, Waterford and Westmeath.

It comes as the train network is to expand in the next few years under the National Development Plan 2021 to 2030. In a statement, Chief Executive of Iarnród Éireann Jim Meade said:"Iarnród Éireann is a dynamic organisation, which offers excellent progression opportunities.
