ALL-IRELAND FINALISTS Cork , Galway , and Armagh have unveiled their starting sides ahead of tomorrow’s opening GAA league clashes tomorrow evening, while Kilkenny have selected Kerry native Fionan Mackessy at wing-back for Sunday’s hurling clash with Clare.
Three players who came on in that game are named to start for this league clash. Wing-back Cormac O’Brien, wing-forward Brian Roche and full-forward Pádraig Power, who have all won All-Ireland U20 hurling medals in recent years, are all given starting spots. Galway have named eight players that started the All-Ireland football final loss to Armagh as the counties prepare for a Division 1 football league rematch at 5.15pm in Pearse Stadium tomorrow.
Seán Kelly will captain the team, while there are starting places handed to defenders John Daly and Daniel O’Flaherty.
