In last year’s budget, a once-off double Child Benefit payment was confirmed. It was paid in November 2022 and saw those that qualified for it receiving an extra €140 per child. Budget 2023 saw the maximum rate of all weekly social welfare payments hiked by €12 with proportional increases for qualified adults and people on reduced rates of payment.
