DWP Cost of Living payment dates for 2023/24 - including £150 disability cash next week and £300 in autumn
People on certain disability benefits will get a £150 cost of living payment from next week as part of the government's wider support package. It's the second payment out of five to be made since the government announced its plans to help the worst-off tackle rising prices.
Other payments to be made later this year and next include the second and third instalments of the £900 cost of living payment and a £300 payment to pensioners.People who are eligible for cost of living payments do not need to apply as they will be sent directly to bank accounts in the same way you usually receive your benefits.
£300 pensioner cost of living payment - from November 2023 If you’re entitled to a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024, you will get an extra £150 or £300 pensioner cost of living payment with your normal payment from November.According to the DWP, you can get a Winter Fuel Payment for winter 2023 to 2024 if you were born before 25 September 1957. Eligible people will be sent a letter in October or November saying how much Winter Fuel Payment they will get.
