Silva has emerged as a key player for Philippe Clement this term with the Scottish Premiership title race heating up.
Ally McCoist has warned Fabio Silva he should not be too hasty to rush back to Wolves at the end of his loan deal - as he urged the striker to learn from Steven Gerrard's mistake.
Silva has previously admitted he would be open to staying at Ibrox next season if a deal could be struck with the Wolves - and McCoist has backed him to stay for another season. While insisting that Silva can make the grade in the English top flight the Ibrox legend claims the Portugal U21 cap would benefit from an extending stay north of the border.
"The away game at Benfica in particular, was the best game he has played for the club, I think. But while he has done well, I believe he will do better. And I think there is more goals to come. He is definitely good enough , but I think he will enjoy the period away from Wolves at this moment in time. He'll be enjoying the slightly less pressure but also the fresh challenge with Rangers and Celtic battling for the title.
