Amazon and union trade allegations in Alabama election: Will there be a third vote at the Bessemer facility?
If you listen to the union seeking to organize workers at Amazon’s Bessemer fulfillment center, the company gave it a list of the addresses of eligible employees prior to the vote, with about 20% of them incorrect.
These are only a few of the allegations the two sides traded in documents filed yesterday as they seek to contest certain parts of the recently conducted union election at Bessemer. RWDSU President Stuart Appelbaum urged the NLRB to “carefully review our objections and ensure no company, not even with the bottomless pockets of Amazon, is allowed to act above the law.”
*Stopped the only employee wearing a pro-union button in front of other employees and requested the employee’s name, and retaliated against workers wearing pro-union paraphernalia.
