This week’s Late Late Show will feature Ireland’s World Cup playoff hero, Amber Barrett, two musical acts and a great new challenge to salvage old and treasured items.
RTÉ has an eclectic mix on the talk show, with Ireland striker Barrett the guest of honour. The Donegal native won the hearts of the entire country when her goal saw Vera Pauw’s Ireland qualify for their first ever World Cup, only to then deliver a stirring post-match interview that touched on the Cresslough tragedy. The show blurb states:
‘Amber will explain why that goal and her community in Donegal will be forever intertwined and how she feels ahead of the national team’s historic debut at the World Cup this summer.’There will be some light shone upon the excellent photographers in this country as Press Photographers Association of Ireland presidentwill present some of the award-winning press photos of 2022.
