🔴 Ambulance strike will go ahead tomorrow unless Government makes 'significant' offer

Further ambulance strikes by Unison and Unite members are scheduled for January 23.

Ms Harrison said she was hopeful now the Government was talking about pay, but that the discussions weren’t moving quickly enough. “The sad reality is that they left that until this week to discuss and now it is too late because unless an offer is made today that is significant enough for us to consult our delegates and our national committee members on, that strike will still go ahead,” she said. “The fact that they’re in the room and attempting to talk to us about pay is progress, but it’s just not moving quick enough.”

Members from nine ambulance trusts are involved in the GMB union across England and Wales. Five services in England represented by Unison will go on strike.
