Safi Rauf, a former Afghan refugee whose non-profit helped evacuate thousands of at-risk Afghans during the fall of Kabul, was detained by the Taliban for 105 days. Here's what he told Axios a week after his release.

He insisted there had been a "misunderstanding" and never any malicious intent.
