Strictly Come Dancing pro Amy Dowden has shared that tonight's first live performance since her return to the show will be "beautiful for my family". The 34 year old revealed to PA news agency that her celeb partner, JLS singer JB Gill, has made the 20th anniversary series of the BBC dance show the "perfect comeback" after her battle with breast cancer.
Reflecting on the emotional significance of her return, she said, "I think it's going to be just really lovely , because it's going to be beautiful for my family, because they struggled just as much as I did having to watch me go through it." The 37 year old star shared his insights into the journey: "For me, I think it's just trusting Amy, she's the pro for a reason, I trust her judgment." He recounted their dynamic, saying, "We talk a lot, and I think our chemistry is very strong, even from the outset."
Discussing his revelations at home he said, "I went home to my wife and just said, this is what I was doing, and going through the counts, and she was like 'what on earth is that? It doesn't even make any sense'."
