There are plenty of nods to Houston in the new Netflix show 'Mo,' including a mysterious olive farm. Here's the story behind the actual orchard between Houston and Beaumont.

The olive farm, which Brazil is a co-owner, is featured in Mo Amer's new Netflix show"Mo."Southeast Texas Olive Co. has been around since 2009, when Italian petroleum engineer Gino Venitucci planted 40 acres of trees in Devers.around Texas, including at downtown Houston's Spec's location and in Beaumont-area grocery stores.
"They brought in a little small city overnight," Brazil noted."All the locals asked what was going on. I was a celebrity for three days." In the show, Mo marvels at the farm's beauty upon arriving. Eventually, he scores a bag of free olives from a fictitious farmer who's just happy Mo asked instead of stole.
Toward the end of the 30-minute episode, Mo brings the olives to his mother, who is anxious to begin pressing olive oil again."Olive oil brings light and I want to lighten up my life," she says.
