An Post said it expects to deliver over 10 million packages nationwide over the coming weeks in the run up to Christmas.
Over 100,000 parcels will be delivered daily, with that figure multiplying closer to Christmas, An Post added.
30% of An Post's delivery routes are now covered by electric vehicles. This will be increased to 32% by the first quarter of 2024. 1,000 of An Post's 3,600 vehicles are electric, making the company the biggest electric vehicle fleet operator in Ireland.
