Post offices across the country will be open on Good Friday, but with limited opening hours.
The Easter Bank holiday weekend is almost here and that means a chance to tuck into your Easter eggs, but also changes to Social Welfare payment dates.
An Post will see a change in operating hours over the coming days, and some social welfare recipients can expect to receive their payments a bit earlier than usual. While Easter may not be as hyped up as Christmas, for many it is an essential event each year, as families come together to celebrate.Good FridayOn Friday 7 April 2023 there will be full Postal delivery services in the Dublin area and towns in rural areas.They will be shut on Saturday 8 April and Easter Monday 10 April 2023.Due to the changes to post office opening hours, there will be changes to social welfare dates over the coming days.
Most social welfare payments that are due to be paid on Friday 7 April or Monday 10 April, will be paid on Thursday 6 April instead.Full postal services will resume on Tuesday 11 April 2023.
